Here are seven preliminary ideas for the front entry sidelights for the Sonoma Chabad in Santa Rosa, CA. These variations are meant to show different possibilities of colors and line forms within the context of our discussions.
Stylized flames against a background of various shades of blue, broken into pieces by the intersection of concentric circles. Blues and red are very traditional stained glass colors. The background lines present a swirling but grounded feeling.
Spiraling colors suggest an embrace or the splitting of the seas in this exhuberent design.
Curving and diagonal lines with pastel colors define the background of this dynamic upweard-tilting storm. Colors, at this point are arbitrary. That is, any colors may be chosen to execute this design. We present these pastels as a modern alternative to the more traditional primary colors.
Hand-drawn curving lines, grading from ocean blues to sunset yellows draw the eye inward. This multi-colored design is not a rainbow, but has a lighthearted, almost celebratory feel.
