Adonai fills out the creation with humankind and all the species of mammals, on the sixth day.  Each creature is born with it's distinctive skin color and pattern.  On the skin of man and woman is imprinted the Tohu v' Vohu, the raw material of creation, symbolic of the primordial state of the universe.  This says to us that the God, who brings forth humankind in his image, is a creative God (Elohim) who peoples his universe with a creative humanity, imbued with all the potential and chaos that creativity demands.
